Site Synopsis

This is my little corner of the web. An area where I try to pull out all of the creative stops to learn, develop, and ultimately grow. Into what am I trying to grow? Who knows. I've spent my whole life trying to figure out the sort of person that I want to be, what I want to do, and how I want to channel my energy. So far my efforts have yielded very little (at least I think), so this is my attempt at a little introspection, a way to get creative and let my thoughts run free and without limitation. Feel free to get lost...and maybe learn something about yourself along the way.

Current Events (about me, duh)

These days I'm all over the place, but I am currently working through a bunch of material on web development (I'll link it below). If you've stumbled here, you are more than likely already familiar with things like HTML, CSS, JavaScript. What you see floating around your monitor is the culmination of my learning thus far. Try not to judge too harshly, like most people I'm very much a work in progress.

Other than web development, I like to tinker with electronics both old and new. I recently stumbled on my old PlayStation 2 in a storage unit, and when I fired it up I was disappointed to find that it was kaput. To be more specific, the power supply unit decided it's time had come, and yeeted itself into oblivion (more like two capacitors went bad after 20 years). I replaced the power supply with a cheap clone, and voila! It fired right back up, and I was back behind the controller.

I've also tried my hand at arduino projects - and spent a pretty penny on getting myself started - but decided to redirect my focus behind the keyboard. Like most travelers here, I find myself at home behind a keyboard. There are so many possibilities, so many places to get lost, and so much to learn. What's most fun about the internet to me is the idea that the person reading this is very likely many hundreds, or even thousands, of miles away from me, yet we're connected by mile after mile of fiber optic cables and copper. Pretty neat if you ask me.

While an extremely fun place, the internet is also full of some very...less than personable folks. Some folks just come here because they want to hurt others and/or spread hate, but it's very important to remember that you have inside you the ability to strip people like that of their power. Keep on keeping on, and remember to leave the world a better place than you found it.
